Nicholas “Nick” Teruo Norvell
Nicholas “Nick” Teruo Norvell, 40, of Ocala, Florida, passed away September 23, 2026, at HCA West Marion Hospital in Ocala, Florida.
Nick was born August 13, 1986, in Greenville, Ohio, the son of William T. Norvell and Emiko (David) Augsburger. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Donna Kay Wright of Greenville, Ohio and Teruo and Teruko Nakayama of Japan.
Nick had a personality all his own and a sense of humor that was uniquely Nick. He was extremely funny in his own quirky way and loved to joke around. His humor could catch you off guard, but it was often what made time spent with Nick memorable.
One of Nick’s greatest passions was cars, especially his Nissan GTR. He loved taking his GTR to car shows, seeing the many different cars on display, and sharing in the excitement with other car enthusiasts. He enjoyed buying, selling, and working on cars and trucks and was a true master of many trades. He had a natural ability to understand how things worked and could fix just about anything through his own research and dedication.
Nick also enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved Shiba Inu, Changa. He held a loving and very close relationship with his fiancée, Samantha “Sam” Keller. They shared a special six years together, with Sam remaining by Nick’s side throughout his courageous battle with cancer.
Nick is survived by his sons, Ronan Norvell and Maddox Norvell of Greenville, Ohio; his father, William “Bill” Norvell of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; his mother, Emiko (David) Augsburger of Greenville, Ohio; his fiancée, Samantha “Sam” Keller of Ocala, Florida; his half-brother, Ryan (Carly) Augsburger of Festus, Missouri; stepbrothers, Steven (Erica) Greer Jr. of Bradford, Ohio, and Jonis (Jenna) Greer of Ormond Beach, Florida; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Nick will be remembered for his unique sense of humor, his passion for cars, his ability to fix almost anything, and the love he shared with his family. He leaves behind exceptional memories that will remain with those who knew and loved him.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
