Gerard Oscar Dugre
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Gerard Oscar Dugre, known as “Gerry” to family and friends. Gerry passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Manchester, NH on August 17, 1949, he is predeceased by his parents, Phillippe and Irene (Nault) Dugre, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived by his sister, Jeannette Dugre of St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Gerry was the loving husband of almost 40 years to Janet Hoyt Dugre and devoted father to his son, Jason Jarc and wife Jennifer (Jones) of Dallas, TX.
Gerry loved being retired and having time to do whatever he wanted; using his handyman skills around his home and helping friends with home repairs and upgrades. His garage was like a hardware store, and many benefited from borrowing his tools. He insisted on doing a job the correct way, especially painting, and his words will always be remembered: “Painting is not cleaning; you must clean those baseboards first!”
Gerry was devoted to his family, preferred to eat at home as he loved his wife’s cooking and never wanted to share her peach/blueberry pies. He will be remembered for his love, steady heart, and very dry sense of humor that he shared with so many. His memory will live on in the lessons he taught about life and the love he gave so freely.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date.
