David Paul Burkarth, 84, of Ocala, FL, passed peacefully at home on August 23rd, 2026, surrounded by loving family. 

David was born in New Britain, CT on April 11th, 1942 to Joseph and Mary Burkarth. 

He worked at Fafnir Bearing Company in New Britain, CT until he transitioned to Travelers Insurance in Hartford, CT as a computer program analyst, he retired early at 55 years old to be a caregiver for his wonderful wife Elaine until her passing in 2006. He spent the remainder of his years traveling the country in his RV, with his son and grandsons collecting pins along the way, until leaving his home in Berlin, CT to set roots down in Florida for his family to build upon his foundation. 

David was preceded in death by his wife Elaine, and his sister Irene and is survived by his son, Paul, his daughter, Christine, her spouse Steve, David's grandsons and granddaughter, Zachary, Kyle, and Erin, their spouses Alexis and Patrick, his great granddaughter Scarlett, and many others who will always carry his memory.

He was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.
