David Michael Kuntz

David Michael Kuntz, 73, of The Villages, Florida, passed away on September 30, 2026, in Leesburg, Florida.

Born in Logansport, Indiana, David grew up in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and went on to earn his nursing degree from TCU. He spent his career as a cardiac ICU nurse, caring for patients and families at some of the most frightening moments of their lives.

A quiet man, David let his passions speak for him. He was happiest on the golf course, cheering on his favorite college football teams, or lost in a good book. He loved to sing and composed music on the guitar, piano, and drums. A true man of the theater, he took the stage in plays in The Villages, including a memorable turn as Lurch in *The Addams Family*. He also wrote science fiction books, building worlds of his own.

He is survived by his wife, Roseanna Morgan Kuntz; his daughter, Angelia Sides; his brother, Joe Kuntz; and his sisters, Terry Mogavero and Donna Pavone. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Donald Kuntz and Mary Madonna Hirsch Kuntz; his brothers, Bill Kuntz and Greg Kuntz; and his stepson, Christopher Morgan.

David will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
